Set on 50 acres of woodland, in the middle of the city, the UFM campus is frequently described by visitors as one of the most beautiful in the hemisphere. The vision of the founders was to create a campus that would preserve its luxuriant natural setting and biological diversity. Today the campus is managed as a reserve that can contribute to the development of ecological green belts and offers endless possibilities for research and recreation.
Founded in 1971, the University’s mission is to teach and disseminate the ethical, legal and economic principles of a society of free and responsible persons.
Its emphasis on academic excellence and information technology in education has helped create a more competitive environment in Guatemala’s academic community.
The greater part of the symposium’s lectures will be held at the Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Auditorium. This state of the art facility hosts some of the most prestigious academic and cultural events in the country. |
